Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Brisbane Writers Festival, which runs 5-9 September. I’ll be taking part in a number of events as part of my Australia / New Zealand book tour. I’ll be posting the full book tour details next week.

Tales on Moon Lane
There’s a very nice children’s bookshop in Herne Hill in London called Tales On Moon Lane. A clever young Irish chap, David Maybury, has made the place his own this week to run a festival of children’s literature.

Nielsen Platinum Book Award
In London today. And while at Random House I was presented with my Nielsen Platinum Book Award for 1 million UK sales of The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas from my editors Bill Scott-Kerr, who edits my adult novels, and Annie Eaton, who edits my children’s novels. I’m only the second Irish author (after Cecilia Ahern) to receive one of these!
